Bola sat next to Mercy, his heart racing as he tried to find the right time and words to …. Their friends were gathered in a cozy restaurant, laughing and enjoying the evening. Mercy had no idea what was coming. As the sun began to set, Bola cleared his throat, drawing everyone’s attention.
“Mercy,” he began softly, dropping to one knee. Gasps filled the air as Mercy’s eyes widened in surprise.
“I love you more than words can say. Will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?”
Tears welled up in her eyes, and with a smile, she whispered, “Yes.”
As soon as Mercy whispered “Yes,” the room erupted in cheers and applause. Her friends squealed in delight, rushing forward to hug her, while Bola slipped the ring onto her trembling finger. Mercy couldn’t stop smiling, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears. She looked down at the ring, then back at Bola, her heart overflowing with love.
Bola stood up, pulling her gently into his arms. “I promise I’ll always be there for you,” he murmured, his voice thick with emotion.
Mercy nodded, her voice barely a whisper, “And I’ll always love you.”
My wife, my youthful companion, you shine like a golden heart encased in a diamond crystal, radiant with righteousness and adorned with seven wings, reminiscent of heavenly beings. You are a sceptre of the divine, a revelation reserved for the holy and bestowed upon me, a humble recipient of the Father's 'Mercy'. I bless the day we met, but even more so, the day our hearts became one. Our journey together is a fruitful blessing, a union not only of companionship but of shared purpose. You are revered beyond the majesty of the cedar of Lebanon, gentle as a dove, and carrying the fragrance of Christ. Your love embodies the heart of God, and I promise to cherish and honor you at every turn. The exodus of our single lives has given way to a new covenant, a testament to the beauty of our life together. Thank you for being my everything, for bringing love and light into my world.
